Anne M. Poklar
Anne M. Poklar, 90, of 85 Massachusetts Avenue, James City, died Thursday morning (March 26, 2015) at Kane Community Hospital.
Born October 1, 1924, in James City, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ann Jaksetic Bostjancic. On October 16, 1948, in Kane, she married Robert Poklar who preceded her in death.
Anne was a homemaker who loved her home and working in her yard. She enjoyed spending time reading and going for walks and loved her family very much.
Previously, she had worked at Stackpole in Kane. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Christine "Tina" (Joseph) Rostan of Kane; a grandson, Robert Maze of West York; two great-grandsons, Robert Maze and Nathan Maze; a sister, Alice Lorenzo of James City; a brother, Frank "Puppy" (Dorie) Bostjancic of Kane ; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Callistus Church with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Callistus Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or a charity of the donor's choice.
