Obituary for Alyce Avenali

Alyce M. Avenali
KANE
Alyce M. Avenali, 73, of 614 N. Fraley Street, passed away Sunday (July 1, 2012) at UPMC Hamot in Erie.
Born September 4, 1938, in Marienville, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Dorothy Landess McClellan. On April 26, 1958, in Marienville, she married John Avenali who preceded her in death.
Alyce, a homemaker, mother and grandmother, was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Surviving are three sons, Dave (Lori) Avenali, Tony (Lynn) Avenali and Dan (Heather Muisiner) Avenali, all of Kane; a daughter, Barbara (Scott) Nelson of Kane; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Earla Lewis of Pittsburgh and Marilyn (Tom) Varrassa of Corry; and a brother, Dan (Pauline) McClellan in Florida.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband and parents, by a brother, Francis "Bud" McClellan; and two sisters, Louise Yackovich and Gayle McClellan.
Friends will be received 2-4:00 P.M. and 7-9:00 P.M. Thursday at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Friday at St. Callistus Church with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.
